[Closed] Stupid question of the day: changing brake rotors

As above. I'm changing wheels & rotors on a disc-braked bike to larger rotors, so of course the new rotors are too big to fit into the brakes. What do I do to change the brake mechanism position?

You need an adapter to adjust the offset suitable for your mount type and brake type.

put the rotors in the washing machine on a hot wash, repeat until rotors are correct size.

ta, somouk. If the washing machine trick doesn't work, I'll buy a different mount

The ones linked by somouk are Post Mount to Post Mount adaptors, check if you have IS fitting or Post Mount fitting on the fork and frame as that will require different adaptors.
