[Closed] Stumpjumper pivot bearings, do they need replacing?

When do I need to change them? I've got a bit of play in the rear suspension pivots, nothing drastic mind. A mates older stumpy has much more movement in his, and he reckons there fine. Was wondering if/when they will need replacing, and how hard it will be.

Mine used to ghost shift when I was hammering it if the shock bush or pivots had play in them. If there is only a little bit of play I wouldn't worry about it just keep an eye on it. If it gets worse get you suspension bearings looked at

The shock pivot on my 09 Stumpy has a habbit of coming undone. Even when secure it had a bit of play in it, but after an extra hard tightening its now solid and transforms the ride

If you leave the bearing to long and they fall apart they are a right pig to remove. And they are only £40 for a full set from specialized
