Can you help? I have got a Thompson elite seatpost stuck fast in a thinwall steel frame (ultra expensive). Anti-seize grease was used when it was put in one year ago and the seatpost is the right size. Whats the right way to get it out?

Have a search on here or on Sheldon Brown. It depends to some extent whether you want to aave the seatpost Plus gas penetrating fluid, saddle in vice and turn frame, pipe wrench on seatpost, freeze spray on seatpost knock it in a bit with a hammer to break the corrosion.

Remove BB, pour Plus Gas or Coca Cola down the seat tube, leave for a few minuites, if you want to save the cosmetic looks of the post attach an old saddle to the seat post for leverage and whack the nose of the saddle from side to side with a heavy hammer, once the corrosion is broken gnash your teeth whilst simultaneously twisting and pulling the seat post using the saddle.

If you couldn't give a fig about the seat post forget the saddle part of above and do as TJ says.

As TJ says really - you can use a pipe freezing jacket and freeze spray (from a plumber's merchant or B&Q) on the post, in my experience it works better than just spraying the post directly.
As a penetrant(!!) diesel works as well as anything, leave it to soak overnight.
