So, got lucky and managed to remove a "Stuck" Aluminum seat post from a Carbon frame with the gentle application of a plumbers wrench. Foolishly thought stuck seat posts was only an issue with steel frames.
Question is, what's best to apply to the seat post to try to prevent this reoccurring.
Fairly sure I'd put carbon paste on it before inserting originally. This 9yo thread suggests Hylomar non setting gasket compound.

Just wondering if there is a better option now ?
Thanks
Just undo the clamp and give it a wiggle every couple of months.

If that's too slippery then Motorex Carbon Paste (not the similar sounding Motorex Carbon Grease)
Carbon paste or grease and get it out every now and then and redo it. It will always be an issue, unless you swap a carbon seatpost.
Thanks, had used carbon paste but reapplying on a regular basis didn't happen. Will add this to the regular maintenance routine.
I have been taking great care to make sure the bike i haven't riden in half a year handn't seized the dropper post in.
Total success.
The dropper however... doesn't drop.
