[Closed] Stuck ally seat post in carbon frame

I noticed a small crack at the top of the little hole in the seat tube showing min insertion in my carbon road frame, so thought I better look closer. However, can't get the ally post out - it seems stuck. Any ideas or tricks from the hive mind to free it, carefully, considering the crack?

In the circumstances I'd recommend a specialist, with regular removal and new carbon fibre (CF) assembly paste afterwards. Ideally use similar materials together, i.e. CF to CF

Aluminium oxide takes up up more space than the metal so has wedged the post solid in the seat tube.

Clamp the post in a big vice and turn the frame around it. This may damage the cosmetic finish on the top of the post but with careful padding you might be able to minimise the damage.

This week I used this method in conjunction with a 2.5 ton trolley jack to remove an alloy post that was stuck in an alloy frame. My neighbour said the sqawking noise sounded like I was torturing a swan. I was able to file then polish out the vice jaw marks on the top clamp part of the post.

Cool, thanks for that - I'll give the vice trick a go later...
