[Closed] Struggling to find comfortable wide fit mountain bike spd shoes with bunion

Hello ๐Ÿ™‚

I need some advice please.

I have been looking for a pair of comfortable mountain biking spd shoes.

Think ones which are like walking shoes / trainers.

I have an enlarged knuckle on my big toe, which sticks up, but does not stick outwards.

I have a pair of walking boots, which I can walk in all day.

I need a pair of comfortable spd lace up cycling equivalents.

I have tried on some bontragers, giro, and a host of others. But cannot find one wide enough, with a comfortable toe box.

I've heard that 5 10, and Northwave do them. Can anyone suggest a suitable make of shoe, and/or a shop in London, who do a decent range please?

Thanks

Have a look at the Specialized range? The skate shoe ones have a big toe box.

Is the lace up / walking shoe type a definite requirement? I have Bont spd mtb shoes and they are very roomy whilst also being a perfect fit in length. A very supple upper and well defined tread which makes walking very comfortable. Even the cheapest version are the type that go in the oven on a very low temp for 5 mins and then the insole moulds to your foot shape. By a very long way the most comfortable spd shoes I have ever worn. A little odd looking with their 'tub' style and as above, nothing like a skate or walking shoe. Sorry if this is no help.

Monksie, thank you for the suggestion. They don't need to be lace-up / walking shoe. I just assumed that they would be the most comfortable ๐Ÿ™‚
