I want to replace my quick release skewers with bolt on skewers, but am having problems
deciding on what to buy. I am aware that many people use the halo bolt on skewers, but have
heard some bad reports about these breaking (particularly if riding trails hard.)
Having spent hours looking for some decent bolt on skewers I am not having much luck. There
don't seem to be many top companies that make them, it all seems to be rebranded chinese
stuff. I note that Control Tech do Ti Bolt On skewers, but heard titanium can flex a bit.
I'm quite a large guy (over 100kg) so strength is my main priority.
Not really bothered about price or weight of skewers, just looking for the strongest / best quality bolt on skewers available on the market. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I’ve got the Halo ones on my CX bike, partly because it gets locked up outside a lot of pubs. I’m in excess of 100kg and they’ve been fine for me.
Halos have been fine for me over the years - probably used on 4 or 5 bikes in all
I still use them on the one QR wheeled mountain bike I have. I did break one once, but that was through ham-fisted over tightening on my part.
Why do you want bolt-on skewers? What do you perceive as being the advantage over a Shimano QR? A decent QR should in theory be stronger as it doesn't have to deal with torsional stress.
What Bez says, there's far more in a wheel to cause whatever lack of stiffness you perceive than the QR.
I'd be using Shimano QRs, but the DT Swiss RWS system is good if your hubs allow the oversized options. I stuck one on the front of my cross bike, no so much for stiffness, more just a lingering, slightly irrational distrust of QRs on the front wheel.
