I'm assuming steel chainring bolts will be the strongest but are there any steel ones that just use an allen key to tighten without the need for the chainring net wrench tool?

What trail rat said, although I'm sure I've some that use a torx key too. And no problems with the little spanner either.

Thanks, will try the truativ ones. The ones I'm using at the moment are made out of milk bottle tops.....the plastic and foil ones!!

Rotor bolts have a 6mm allen key on the back too.

Don't need a special tool anyway with the normal kind, just use a screwdriver or a 20p piece.

I find alloy ones fine as long as they're all present and correct, the only set I've ever destroyed were some KCNC ones when I hopped my SS straight onto a log and bent the chainring.
