The leader board has dissapeared from the display when I click on a segment. Any clues how to get it back?

Not heard of that problem, unless strava servers are down temporarily. As far as I'm aware you don't get leaderboards on a segments only if its been marked as hazardous or you created a private segment. Likewise if you made your whole ride private.
