Do we know why some segments aren't showing up on Strava Segment explorer?

Even without the recent "scandal" about segment in classified military areas, Strava's own segment explorer is pants!
Recently came across https://www.doogal.co.uk/strava.php , much better, can even filter out some of the false cat climbs.

Heat maps have stopped working for me. Maybe they're having some tech issues.

Hi Simon mine stopped working a while ago. It started working again a couple of weeks ago and has been fine since then.
