strava question, a 35 minute loop goes past my front door, does it matter where i start or do it only start from when i ride past the "start"?
does that make sense?
You need to ride from the start matey.
Do 2 laps 🙂
Don't think there is the facility to make a circular, start-anywhere loop on strava. They all have a start and a finish as far as I have seen.
make sense now ive had a think, cheers all
Just make your own segment that starts outside your front door.
I'm sure I've logged times on circular Strava routes that I've joined halfway and then left at the same spot. Not on purpose though.
Also, you may want to consider making a privacy zone around your house, unless you dont mind ANYONE being able to see where you live and where you keep your bikes!
That would mean that you cant do segments in that zone though.

That would mean you cant do segments in that zone IF you do them when you start/finish your ride within the zone. Possible to start ride, leave your zone, return and then do segment and then finish ride. A hidden zone only hides start and finish of rides, so no nipping back in the house for a snack mid ride or we will all descend on it and pinch your biscuits!
I cant really figure out what you're saying!
If a segment starts or finishes in the privacy zone, then it wont show up.
Make the lot private - will still give a time that you can compare to others.

All a privacy zone does is block the start/end of a ride. So if you ride out of the house onto a segment, that won't work. If you ride outside the privacy zone, then ride back to your front door and pick up the segment it won't be made private.
If you mean, can you start mid-way into the loop & then finish back where you started, then yes.
I live beside Cannock Chase & start the Monkey trail from where I live, which is about 3/4 of the way into it.As long as I do a full loop,it always records my lap time..
