Both stolen from a secure garage in the Westbury-on-Trym area of Bristol on friday may the 8th

Both are pretty stock apart from the stumpjumper had a broken spoke on the front wheel and the Kona has Shimano deore hydraulic discs installed.

Can anybody who has any information or sees anything suspicious on ebay please comment, as any information will be greatly received.

Thank you

Not another Bristol theft!

Sorry to hear about it - hope you were insured.

Might be worth posting on here: http://stolenbristolbikes.blogspot.com/

Yep, post on that stolenbikes site and e-mail Anthony who runs the site. He's got some results recently.
Sorry to hear the news, Bristol's outragous now, and I hate to say this, but sometimes I'm glad i left town! ๐Ÿ™

Just bumping this on the off chance that the OP is lurking, as someone from the local bike club has spotted an "out of place" stock Stumpjumper on their morning commute.

Tony, what is OP (Online Plod LOL!).Please substitute the word frequenting for lurking! The latter has all sorts of unsavoury overtones ๐Ÿ™‚

I've noted the BMBC link. The only thing is even the Spesh Stumpjumper Comp has a higher spec fork than a RS Tora, which seems a bit odd.

I'm not back into work until 28th. If you or your mate Email me the details to my Hotmail address I'll forward it on and arrange for someone to give this bloke a tug and give his bike the once over. Whereabouts in Bedminster, description of the male, his direction of travel - that type of detail please.

All the best.

Cheers Larry, I'll pass your details on to the guy who spotted it, and hopefully he'll be in touch.

OP = original poster, i.e. nerd-speak for the person who started the thread.

I think the bike might be one of these:

The BMBC chap reckoned it was a Stumpjumper, and I found this thread through a bit of quick Googling, but I have to admit that I'm not fully clued up on my Speshes!

It had Fox talas on it as standard.
Not actually my bike, my step dads and the other my little brothers.
I'm not in Bristol anymore because I am at uni but it is possible it could be. Although by the sounds of it, it is a FSR xc 2008. A few confirming things if it was a stumpy would be gold headset. The colours of both are extremely similar apart from the stumpjumper is more bold.
Thanks for looking out, I'll get my step dad to look out when he is over that side of town
