Morning, shit news to wake too.
Van broken into last night and 2 bikes plus my toolkit, helmets and some various other bits stolen last night.
Bikes:
1, Purple Trek Stache 29+ in size small. Changes from spec to XT Brakes, WTB tyres and Fox 34`s from the bike.de sale.
Its a little worn looking but works perfectly and im gutted. Most noticeable thing its its a 15.5 which makes it look like a tractor with the plus wheels.
2, Giant Anthem X 29er, black and red standard except upgraded to light bicycle wheels on hope hubs and an old pair of Pikes on the front, tyres are an odd combo of MM front and x king rear.
Various other bits: track pump, my tool kit containing all the usual (torque wrench, hex keys, small spanners, b/b press and drift etc..) 2 x fox flux helmets (at least i think they were flux) one in bright orange and one in blue/black.
Will add other pieces as we discover this.
Please keep eyes peeled, obviously police informed, yes im on ebay already and gumtree so we have fingers crossed.
Im hoping the large amount of Bristol riders on here will turn something up....

Gutted for you. I awoke a couple of months ago to my bike being stolen (almost brand new Genesis Mantle) from the shed in our Bristol garden.
I really hope you are insured.
Also in Nailsea, will keep an eye out. Where abouts was this? Message me if you don't want to be more specific on here. Are the police taking any interest?
Do you think it was opportunistic or targeted? Followed home from LW or AC?

Think we are insured but that doesnt cover the hour bleeding brakes and fitting new tyres last weekend, sourcing correct tools and having spare right depth tubeless valves etc.
You know how personal it feels with your own toolkit etc.
No interest from police at all, just a crime number and good luck searching.
If someone can post pics i will mail some over...but am running around like a headless chicken right now as need my van for work too.
Not sure whether targeted or followed but we are tight for space inside so usually keep 3 locked in van. Fortunately the wifes new Primer got brought in for a gear tune.
Smashed rear window in VW transported and climbed inside which didnt trigger the door alarms, passed everything out window once hacked off the lock etc.
Thanks FF, they are old photos but essentially the same on the Anthem and updated forks, brakes and tyres on the Stache.
Sucky. Very sucky. Weston and Mendips here. Will keep an eye out.

Possibly followed home on previous occasion but we try to ride from home mostly and went local road spin last night.
Damn lucky there werent 3 bikes in there. Normally we use the van as an extra storage room.
Not any more.
I'm more NE Bristol but will also keep a look out locally.
It does seem that in Bristol that bikes are only safe indoors, and even then that's not guaranteed.
