One of the levers doesn't always return properly, and leaves the brake dragging. It's on my girlfriends bike and she nearly passed out going up a hill last week because she didn't realise the back brake was half on!
I'm normally happy fixing mechanical things, but if it's a piston seal in the lever body, would it be best to send it back to Hope?
Cheers

Try the lever pivot bolt for being too tight / sticky or the brass bush in the lever.

Thanks. The pivot bolt is fine, as is the little brass thing that connects the piston to the lever. It feels as if it's the piston itself.

Simple enough to do if fiddly - could be the spring in there or the seal - youneed small circlip pliers to do the strip tho - I have done a lever once - it wasn't difficult
