I'm running some 105 5800 STI shifters with Avid BB7 SL calipers.
Since fitting them 4 months ago, my front brake lever seems to have around 3mm of dead travel / "play", before it starts pulling the cable.
I presumed this was to do with not having a squarely cut outer cable meeting the STI body, but my best efforts haven't resolved this.
Any tips? Thanks 🙂

Preload the arm on the BB7 slightly when fitting the cable.
