Hello looking for a 40 to 50mm stem with a 5 to 10 rise light ie under 180 grams and cheap, oh and strong will have a 780 bar attached

any recommendations

You won't even notice a 5 degree rise at 40mm.

Anyway, if you can push yourself to 55mm, the Easton Haven is a lovely piece of kit

Take a look at the On One CNC stem, strong/stiff and far lighter than 180g.

Thanks Artist, you are probably correct on the 5 degree but injuries to neck and nerve pain mean I am very sensitive to set up on the bike.

Stems are not hard to get a good one, above a certain point you're paying mostly for shininess. My Easton was heavier than most, and more expensive than most, but it was very pretty.

This is good, 135g, exactly the spec you're after, and strong as you like.

Gusset Staff is another excellent one, slightly more expensive but shinier.
