After a long time using *cough Bike Radar cough* and realising that the information received might not be conducive to me finding an answer.... I now turn to you lot!

Any hoo. I have a Cube Stereo and would like to follow the short stem and big bar sheep as santa has promised me some bike gear.

I ride my bike for everything. I am quite new at this game but love it. It will be for XC / trail centres (pines and cannock) and I will be going on Peak club rides next year.

My current set up is 700mm syntace bar (very little rise 5 deg and 9 deg) and a 90mm 6 degree stem.

I am thinking about a Renthal duo and Fatbar combo 750mm (20mm or 38mm rise) bars and 50mm stem.

I feel stretched out on the bike at the moment and have back ache after a decent ride.

Any help / constructive comments appreciated.

Cheers

I had 720 bars and a 90mm stem on my spesh. Then got 760mm bars and a 70mm stem, but the bars are a bit wide, they put my hands at odd angles. Going to cut them to 740 this week and see how that feels.

90 down to 50 can feel really quite different and change handling of bike (steering can wander on climbs) so is worth getting a test first. Any mates can lend you a 50 to try 1st?
I run 50 on my hard tail and suits it nice.

750mm! don't go to cannock then you'll not make it through the first section!
