Well, I’m waiting on a new mtb frame, that could be turning up anytime between now and next year🙄 so I’m getting itchy building feet and thinking about building a new bike for my wife (because apart from the, out of stock, Camino al, she can’t find anything in budget she likes)

If building, hopefully we can find a steel frame option

She is 5’2” tall, so looking around 49cm frame. Will probably run it with 650b’s

I’m hoping to build one for sub £1200

Anyone had any experience with any (I’m struggling to find any frame I like, in a small enough size)
Cheers

Message Alpkit about the Camino. I ordered mine when it was showing as our of stock and I dropped them a message and they gave me a delivery date maybe 6 weeks away (this was 5 weeks ago so hopefully it will be with me soon).

Islabikes - sure they must have a model that would fit the bill.

My wife currently rides a, heavily modified, islabikes luath 700c cx bike but is after a much more offroad/travel focused bike now

Not sure where you are in the country (I’m Sheffield) but I’m just about to sell my wife’s Transition Rapture gravel bike.

She’s 5ft 3 and runs the bike with 13cm of seat post showing. It’s built with mavic wheels and a Shimano Ultegra triple group set for a nice low gear and avid bb7 brakes

Cheers for the offer but she is after 1x11 and hydro brakes... or at least that’s what I have been instructed to look for
Cheers
