Ride Cyclewoorks in Poole do a ride Tuesdays (almost definitely) and Wednesday (definitely) around purbecks leaving 6ish from sandbanks ferry. Half hour or so drive from forest, but worth giving them a call for a decent guided ride.

If not, there's loads of riding in the forest, but a bit tricky to find.

I don't know any specific routes around there. It is all fairly bimbly little trails where you enjoy looking at ponies rather than scorching down trails.

I would be happy to head out for a couple of hours if you don't mind a sedate pace and riding trails that vary from cheeky to plain rude. I did 40 miles in 4 hours yesterday and only saw other riders when I entered the villages.

What time were you thinking of?

Hi guys,

Sorry for not picking these up, I had a very busy day yesterday and by the time I got to my hotel in Bucklers Hard I just wanted the bike out the car and off.

I asked reception if they could suggest a route and got directed up the river path to Beaulieu and then up the hill to the *forgets the name* big pub and worked a 16 mile ish loop from there.

I found a good mix of trails and indeed, saw plenty of ponies.

thanks for the kind offers though! Next time I'm down here (shouldnt be long) I'll shout you again and we can get out and ride.

Dave

WCA, there are three main places to stay in Beaulieu. I work in one of them, just wondered which one he was staying in. The Master Builders in Buckler's Hard it seems. Nice to know you are out there looking for potential mistakes and silly questions being asked by forum members, must be a busy life.

Matt
