Just got some new (secondhand) Lyriks. Not as described, as they have a scratch. I'm not really sure what the likely consequence will be though - it doesn't feel rough at all, but might it damage the seals and/or the bushings?
First instinct is to push for a refund and not have to worry about it - the ad said stantions were 'like brand new'. It's about half way down the stantion on the left (coil) leg.
I've run forks with damage like that for ages, but I did the damage.
Get your money back if you can.
Yeah, I agree, if you've paid for "like new" then refund.
Though, my Revelations have looked worse than that for about 3 years now thanks to a big french rock, they do not care. I smoothed the scrapes out a little, took off any edges, and it just doesn't seem to make any difference at all now.
Yeah, I think they probably would be ok, but as I paid top dollar for 'as new', I don;t want the worry. Seller has been great and it was an honest mistake. Phew!
