Son's Singular bike needs new tyres, looking for 29 x 2.0 (max will fit). I remember the WTB TCS current ones being an absolute b'stard to get on the Flow rims and not looking forward to getting them off. I'm aware of all the previous chat about technique with Stans rims and have fitted tyres for donkeys years so do know what we're doing - these were certainly the hardest most sweary making. Anyway, any recommendations for XC type tyres that might do the job and go on a bit easier? Saw CRC have folding Maxxis Beavers at an okay price - any good (and did I say... easier to fit?). Cheers
The Beavers are no problem fitting, loose enough that I had trouble doing them tubeless.
Decent tyre for XC yeah, not much cush in the 2in though.

They might have stretched a bit in the meantime. (laughs)
No idea what will go on easy. but Bontrager XR2 come in a 29er 2.0 flavour. They did put up a bit of a struggle onto an Arch EX, but the Mk3 rims might be different.
Thanks, anyone tried Specialized tyres too, they show 2.0 versions?
Went for the Maxxis Beavers in the end, much much easier to fit on Flow rims than the WTB's, very happy
