Meeting in the main Norwood car park at 10am (some people may be over on the pump track).
Depending on numbers, I think we are either continuing working on the new descent line extension or clearing brash for a route in Norwood Edge.

There's no time limit so bring a bike aswell, there's always someone going for a ride afterwards.

Some pics of work in progress on the descent line extension

There's not much work going on in that first pic! Fancy a brew?

In all seriousness, the five people in the photo were the only people to turn up for that dig, with so few regulars working on the DL extension progress has been slow to say the least.
If anybody out there has been thinking of coming to a SingletrAction dig at Stainburn please come along on Sunday, we really would appreciate the help!

Ton has said he will put it to the Northern STW Massive to come to Novembers Dig Day instead of a ride.

Was a beautiful day (especially for October). Got quite a bit done, should be a map of the latest rideable route in Norwood up on the SingletrAction.org.uk website soon. One can also be found here:

And what the hell, here it is in its full jpeg glory:

[img] [/img]

Mostly up in Norwood, clearing two substantial sections (one near the start, running parallel to the road , second was same as we worked on last month, pics etc can be found here: http://singletraction.frankencrank.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2940 and then trying to make the infernal bog passable / less likely to get you stinky right from the start of a ride. Pretty succesful I reckon.

Eleven people was a good turnout in the end and as always there aws a steady flow of riders throughout the day.

We do seem to have come away one rake short so if anyone happens to find one (detachable/inter-changeable hed type thing) please stash it somewhere same, look after it and/or get in touch (chairman@singletraction.org.uk).

Ta :-8

Twas a good day, for those of you who used to ride up in Norwood, before the clear felling started last Sept, you'll be pleased to hear we bridged the bog with larch board, it's still quite technical mind, although the larch board is quite wide (by Stainburn standards) and it's at ground level.
