Right then

Hipflasks welcome as it is dark and men need to drink and stuff in the dark woods. Obviously.

Charge your lights and lube your hoop!

go go go go!

Is there a prize for finding the most outrageous climb?

Yeah, they are usually followed by an outrageous descent. Allermuir gets my prize.

Jeez, why does other stuff always happen on a Wednesday. I was going to go for a piss-up with uni mates while I still can, but a night ride is tempting.

Oh wait... my back wheel's a bit ****ed, should get that sorted first ๐Ÿ™

I was out in the Pentlands on the newly built up singlespeed last night. Struggling to remember why to be honest - hurts on the ups but is too slow to be fun on the downs.

Hope you get the same although fewer midges would have been nice. I reckon I swallowed so many that I didn't need my dinner when I got home.

MTB is still in bits plus had my gf over for over 2 weeks so wasn't able to cycle much (my 2 excuses). But once I make it there (probably next week) I'll have two boxes of the good stuff for You Mark ๐Ÿ˜‰

Is this a singlespeed only event? If so, I'm strangely tempted so you can bask in my shiteness and marvel at my squeaky bike.

I was back to gears (and suspension) tonight - much happier!

First ride with lights for quite a while as well - Nail Trail in the dark, fantastic.

Should be along. There's a good descent we haven't yet done, but the s/speed quotient should dictate the route... 2nd go at Puke Hill Shane? ๐Ÿ™‚

Won't be making this one, still getting over the mn flu from the w/e. Did do a ride out today with work up Poet's Glen and round theback of Clubbiedean Res' a little moist in places but not too bad overall . Enjoy , maybe next week.

Fun fun fun..

Proper atmospheric up top tonight, watching your lights cut through the wind blown low cloud with the city lights below looked uber cool.

Cheers guys and thanks for all the sweeties and hip flask swiggings.

Thanks for going the distance you guys, stout hearts required for the first bunch o' climbing, but worth it, I think...? The start to our descent was somewhat rougher than it should have been, but all the more reason to re-visit ๐Ÿ™‚

Some snaps from an experimental photo-night;

Shane decides which group to go with; surprisingly, he chose wrong!

Cheers Rob - thanks or the guiding. A little more hikabike than usual ( could you feel your ears burning?) but a new and big descent. One day I will remember to adjust the travel on the forks for the descents!

Innit great when you drive to work the next day through deluge / flooding, knowing you had a good session last night... (cycling commuters excepted ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Forgot to say how impressed I was with Sharki's s'speeding, that boy don't need no gears!
One of my vids appears to be broke, will re-load tonight (good one too, everyone diving into the trees)
