Slightly confused 😕

but will the 8 speed one fit??

They're both 3/32 so it should fit fine.
I don't think that's right. They may fit but it depends on the model. Not all 3/32" chains have the same pin width.
Which particular KMC 3/32"? If it's Z610HX then it's a definite no.

pop it down to your local bmx stockits they should be able to line u up nicley iirc those have 2 plates and a securing circlip on them or just a presure place not like normal 8spd quick links

That's what the Z610HX used to come with; my latest has come with a more normal (but KMC) quick link.
You need the KMC rivet link or the spring clip which comes with the chain.
I've bought two Z610HXs, one from Charlie the Bikemonger and one from DotBike. Neither seems to list the spring clip link 'though.
Chicken Cycles are the importers so maybe a 'phone call's in order tomorrow?
I wish the retailers that sell these chains would also sell the links as it's a real wind up trying to track them down. Still, great chains so I guess they're forgiven, sort of!
