I'm trying to sell my cotic soul to build a rocket but more are interested in a bike split.
I'm building the rocket up with a xtr shadow + mech and xtr shifter. Could I use my existing SRAM pg1070 11-36 cassette and SRAM chain ok? It would be a single ring on the front some that's not an issue
I'm weighing up wether to split the bike and keep some bits and sell the rest to make the rocket build cheaper as I'm effectively buying some of the same bits again, like the 70mm stem, I would be buying another for the rocket....

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you can use the chain n cassette. Splitting will probably make financial senses though slightly more hassle!
I didn't want the hassle of splitting but I'm starting to realise there's not much point selling a full bike when I can make use of most of the bits!
I imagine a lot of bikes comes with mix and match derraileur/ cassette chain combos. Just thought I'd check!
