One of the shifters on my hardtail has developed a problem.
It's SRAM X9 & is from a 2010 bike bought in April 2010.
The problem affects the right hand (rear derailleur) shifter.
When attempting to shift up to an easier gear, the shifter just 'gives way' when pressed & I am unable to shift up a gear.
I've tried a full strip down, clean & grease according to this post I found: -

I have had this happen to me once previously on a 2 1/2 year old shifter, on that occasion I just bought a replacement & sold the old one for parts.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Can it be fixed?

common fault im afraid, it happened to mine twice now, i just doused the inners with gt85, its not brilliant but it sort of works, think i will but a new one soon!
