Sram AXS Issue - Battery Works in Dropper but not Mech

I'm getting a weird issue with my Sram AXS battery/mech compatibility. I bought a new battery in the summer and its been fine until the last week. Its fully charged, I put it in the mech get the green flash to say all good then after a few mins it stops responding.

I thought it might be dead battery or dead mech but when I swapped to the battery from my mates AXS dropper it works perfectly and the battery from my mech works fine in his dropper - the obvious answer is well just keep them swapped but wondering if anyone knows what might be causing it?

Have you checked the battery and mech have the latest firmware? also is there anything showing in the AXS app?

No personal experience but I’ve heard reports of the spring contacts / pogo pins that make the electrical connection between mech and battery going iffy.

I don’t know the relative amount of power needed to be drawn but without testing it on another mech to confirm moat likely to be faulty battery. Given it’s new I would just go through warranty and get it replaced. I’ve done this recently with a battery that wouldn’t charge.

This, when cleaning my bike I will always check that the 3 pins are popped back out and can move in and out freely. If they are stuck in then the battery wont be engaged.
