Three relatively inexperienced female road bikers are looking for a suitable 2.5 day trip for august bank holiday weekend. One of us lives in edinburgh, two from manchester (with car). Thinking of roughly 60miles for the first two days and a shorter third day. Some moderate climbs but probably max 1500m a day. Key will be finding somewhere quiet enough on a bank holiday... Considering the Lakes but worried about it being busy, also thinking Borders/Northumbria/ Dumfries... suggestions welcome and appreciated.

Coast to Coast, arrive by train from both sides, I think there is a luggage transfer available and train from the end.
