just ordered some of this in the 2.5mm flavour, and with gel inserts. but i see that they do 4.5mm too. now id like my hands to be as comfy as poss, hence the inserts, but would i have been better going for the thicker stuff? 4.5mm plus gel inserts seems bluddy thick to be honest!!

thick stuff is, err, thick and it makes the bars feel ded weird at 1st
OK for the tops/flats but not drops IMO/E

I've got the standard stuff plus the inserts and wouldn;t want to go much thicker, tbh.
