I like the idea of a Diverge, however all the tests/reviews bang on about the fork shock thingie being such an important part of the bike which gives it the complaint bump friendly character. I'm limited to the £1000 cycle to work so the E5 Sport is the only option and this doesn't have the shock. Therefore what is the E5 like, worth it, or am I better off going for something else?

I have the comp, its ace. Used as a roadbike that can go offroad. Better specced bikes are available for the price but I was taken with the shock...this doesnt help you much though.

I have the older Elite DSW. It's a great bike, and I love it, but if I were buying now, I'd hold out for something with hydraulic brakes.
