My latest batch had arrived and it doesn't say SP41 on it. The last lot had SP41 printed regularly along it. This just has an embossed Shimano logo.
Has it changed? I just want to make sure I've got what I paid for.
Ta.

My current batch, looks completely unbranded at first, took close inspection to spot the Shimano logo imprinted. Assume it's SP41, that's what I would have ordered, but don't remember when and where I got it. It's a matt not-quite-black black cable.

Sounds the same as my new batch then.

Where did you guys get it from please? I need a decent sized chunk and I'm a little dubious about the eBay options.

Quick search the 10m roll doesn't seem to be supplied so much now. I think we must have bog standard SP41 cable, there's also SIS (OT) SP41 which has the logos in silver.

I'm totally the same as you OP. Ordered sp41 and received just the same.

Maybe the new style/batch?

I took a punt on the Clarks outer (30m boxed roll for £17 a little while back) and looks (still lined) and performs just the same as the SPxx I used to buy. I do change my inner/outer during annual service so likely never see any long term wear issues.

Fyi - Mine came from biketart on eBay.
Definitely very few people selling the 10m rolls these days. There seems to be a Shimano pack that contains a few metres with 2 inner cables. But the short cable is no use in a 1x world, so it's a waste of money.

I used to use SP41 but have changed to the Clark's stuff also and it seems just as good.
