Aquaplaned the road bike through a foot of water this morning down the Portway in Bristol, but as much as it was grim, it was fun too. Was gentle on the cobbles though, for obvious reasons. Was nice to have an empty changing room and bike locking stand too :) Anyone else battle through the wild stuff this morning?

Pretty bad up your way today Drac?
I decided to work from home after hearing various horror stories on the radio and from the missus. Sounds like fairly major problems on the A1.

waded along the A1 in 2 feet of water to rescue a guy who couldn't work out how to get his stalled car moving

I'm intrigued, was this someone with a disability or otherwise stranded miles from civilisation or just some numpty who needed telling "yes your car is stuffed you'll have to walk follow me"?
