ie Mabie, Dalbeattie, Kirroughtree. What's it like up there at the moment? Up with the Mrs at the weekend and I could feasibly sneak away for a couple of hours blast one morning, or a night ride (is anyone about?).
Not local enough to me but this may help.

That is helpful, and I should have though to look. Cheers!
Just wet and windy at the moment.
Was out at Ae on sunday and it was fine. Bit of work going on at the board walk after Bran Burn/before the Edge. Follow the diversion. The board walk is only 1/2 covered in mesh and they are surfacing the trail just after the end of the board walk and it is a mess atm. The board walk is also a bit slippery ๐ Rest of trail was OK but there may be some storm damage over the next few days. Unless someone is out riding and reports it then nobody will know until they come across it.
Mabie. Rides OK in the wet but there are some big puddle issues just after the Burn Splash. Not s ride stopper tho. There may be the odd tree down especially on Elevator just after the zig zag climb. Prone to wind blow trees at that point.
Doubt if there will be any issues at Dalbeattie other than water and the board walk at the Log on Log off/Eye of the Needle section possibly being under water!!!
Can update at the weekend if you are able to get online
I am night shift over the weekend so unlikely to get out. Helping out at clubs CX race Say am
Cheers Trekster, much obliged. Sounds like I should be fine for a quick buzz around any of them.
Cheers. Yeah, unless the snow is deep and there is ice you can ride all the trails any time in any weather.
Dalbeattie off-piste earlier this year;
Today is just cold and windy, although not the gales we have had. Will be night riding at Mabie tomorrow night so will know more about trail condition.
Heheh, I may stick to walking if it's snowy and icy, don't really fancy it on my own. But cold, wet and windy sounds like most of my rides!
Cheers for the advice ๐
Final update.
Today has seen a flurry of snow. Not much in Dumfries but I believe other areas have had a fair bit. The Lowther hills have a fair covering. Queensberry Hill/Ae would appear to have a light dusting but probably not enough to stop you biking. Mabie should be clear.
It is very cold and a wind is getting up.
This could all change overnight.
There is a diversion in place on Descender Bender in Mabie. Fun on the first ride down it last night in the dark!!. The middle section of Descender Bender is getting a makeover and will be out of bounds until after the new year. Rest of the trail is OK.
Thanks, looks snowy around there on the traffic Scotland road cams, but local knowledge is always best. What about Dalbeattie?
Ooh, looks awesome... I like a bit of snow. I think Dalbeattie on Monday morning is the plan for biking, rest of the weekend will be walking. Dunno if I'll be attempting the slab if it's frozen though...
Mabie completely clear today (a few icy puddles), the trail works take a fair slice of distance off, but it looks like the only rideable centre at the moment so can't complain
Mabie was really nice today. The detour was frozen so rode quick. Be a different story after rain hits it
