Any locals?
What sort of weather can be expected on the Med in January. Is it usually pretty dry/sunny, or would it be wet (like in November ๐ฅ ). Thinking of probably around Sospel/Peille but equally interested in the Roussillon.
Hey Ian
I'm on the Italian side.. At the moment it is Sunny and about 18 degrees on the coast.
Sospel is in a valley and can be cold, and snow will fall on the coll's Bruis, braus.
Expect about 12-16 degrees and mostly dry on the coast, but it can be wet... to be honest weather is all over the place at the moment so difficult to predict.
Yesterday we were up at 2200 metres in shorts and t shirt!!
and November has been amazing 3 days of rain in the whole month!!!!

Not on the french side it wasn't, went down early November. Biblical thunderstorms, flooding, horrendous. Got trapped in a carpark for 3 days because the water level rose so much it blocked the exit. ๐ฅ . Totally wasted trip as after a week of s..t weather I gave up and came home.
As an aside, Nasher. How much would a week with you be in Jan (just uplifts/guiding) no accommodation?
Those are the 3 days we had here.... not a drop other than those days.
I'm on the Spanish med side, near Beziers. As always: it depends. You might have a fantastic week: last Sunday was 20.5deg. I remember riding is shorts & short sleeves last Jan.
But it may be biting cold with very strong winds. ~2 degs, minus lots of windchill. Round we are, it's very dry but reasonably windy We've just had almost a month of solid rain, so hopefully will have a dry spring.
