For anyone who cycles, walks or takes their kids to Moors Valley Country Park - Hampshire County Council are considering an application to use a fair portion of the site for gravel extraction and possible landfill. The proposed area covers quite a bit of the cycle trail. If you wish to object, or are interested in further information, see the link below.

The existing cycle trail is a great facility suitable for all ages, with around 4 miles of all-weather singletrack through the woods. It would be a huge shame to lose this, aside from the ecological impact, traffic, noise etc in a woodland country park setting.

All support in opposing this is greatly appreciated, we only have until 5th March to respond.

Done. Don't use the area myself but don't want people and kids to move to 'my' New Forest gravel roads as enough people get in my way already ๐Ÿ™‚

Aware of a lot of people that do use it though but sadly the objections will probably be as effective as they are to planning permission.
