Stuart and I had just set off on the 2nd leg of SDW from Washington, got nearly to Chanctonbury Ring, when my saddle bolt snapped. We had to be at Eastbourne before the carpark was shut at 7pm, so he kept going and I did a bit of frantic phoning, and scooted/walked the 4 miles to Storrington where I was told there was a bike shop. They leapt into action, fitted new seatpost, fixed the puncture I'd picked up on the way (all repair gear being out on the trail with Stuart!), then loaded my bike in the back of their van and drove me to Pyecombe to meet up with Stuart and complete the ride. And all for a very modest charge.
I couldn't have done it without them. If you're nearby, do pop in and buy something, because they are Good People!
