I need to buy some replacement pads for the Misses' Juicys, before I just buy the Avid ones, are there any recommendations.

Clarks or Alligator make good ones that're cheap-
Otherwise, EBC or Goodridge for pricier ones.
I have used superstar sintered n my 7`s they are pretty good. (and cheap)

No problems with Superstar sintered here
superstar sintered have outperformed and WAY outlasted Avid sintered with me.
Superstar here too
Is there an alternative to superstar for those of us put off by the tangobravo debacle?
I use Superstar. Current pads have lasted since about April & have included a week in Spain soing down hilly/rocky stuff, 24/12, Thetford Summer Series, Wiggle Enduro 6 + regular riding on road & off.
They are getting a bit low now though.
Only thing if you do buy them, is spend 5 mins scraping the paint of the edge of the backing plate before fitting (same as most aftermarket pads) as the extra thickness of the pain causes them to bind a bit.
Prior to the 'tangobravo debacle', I bought a load of superstars Kevlar pads for my Avids. They're very very good - fine in normal use but when I really haul on them, they're ferocious stoppers.
cheers all!
Superstars are ordered.
