After searching the forums everyone seems to have a different opinion or those who agree don't ride the same stuff I'll be riding!

Unfortunately I'm looking for a bit of an all-rounder which makes it hard to choose as I want grip for downhill without having too much rolling resistance on singletrack and dirt jumps. My current one is a 2.1 nevegal but I've lost confidence in it after washing out at high speed on a wet long mynd ride a few months ago.

Minions seem to be pretty standard choices at the minute, but again there are so many models I don't know which to go for.

My rear tyre is a 2.1 High Roller xc which doesn't really grip that well, probably because it's so narrow though more than tread pattern?

I'm about to try a HR 2.35" on the front today - i'll report back if i live! 😆
I had a Minion DH on the front & the HR on the rear but felt like i was pedalling through treacle. Replaced with some part worn MK's but the most worn one was on the front and scared me last week.
Now resorting to a MK on the rear & the HR on the front....

HR's front and back do it for me, I'd like the HR SS in UST for the back if it were available but I don't think it is 🙁

i'm probably gonna be shot down in flames here, but... i'm currently using schwalbe alberts on the front of 3 of my bikes, and i'm finding them more than capable 😯

...and only £12.50 each, bargain 😀
