I'm now the proud owner of a Sonder Ti with a dynamo front hub. It was a cheap addition when they had an offer on recently and as I'm doing LEJoG in the spring, I thought it would be useful. What do people who have them recommend for the connection between the hub and the gadgetry on the bars/stem.....sinewave revo crops up as does the cinq5. Thanks

Just following this as I may pull the trigger on a Camino Ti tomorrow and I'm tempted by the dynamo upgrade....

I used a ‘Cycle2charge’ this summer. Swaps for your top cap & sticks up a bit, but worked fine.
I either ran with lights on or with the charger working to charge a cache battery. easy to fit, worked fine and only cost £80 - looks like sjs have them instock

Yep, been using a cycle2charge for about 10 years now and it works well. Better for road touring where you can keep your speed up, in hilly terrain it's less effective but still helps to keep a powerbank topped up. Not as sleek as the Cinq and Sinewave but hard to beat for the price!

I bought two cycle2charge and both failed quickly.

I now have 2 x igaros and a  sinewave beacon which have lasted significantly longer.

I had a cinq5 with the dynamo charge wire running through the fork steerer tube on my Tripster, I drilled a tiny hole through the centre/underside of the carbon fork crown into the carbon steerer tube then fed the wire through a slot cut in the headset bung and connected it to the cinq5 inside the steerer tube, worked fine and never had any issues with it

My Igaro D2 failed pretty quickly on a big trip, would not buy again.

I would say it'd need to be a pretty big trip to need a charger. With my lighting taken care of by the dynamo, I find that a battery bank is fine for keeping my phone and Garmin topped up.

What did you replace it with?
