Hi all!

Thanks everybody for your interest.

Although I do not actually have the frame in hand yet I am hoping it is all just a waiting game now! The policeman I need to speak to is on holiday till Saturday so will update you then.

All I can say is Edward Gurhy is a hero and whilst this story is not completely over yet, I can only hope everyone has someone like Edward on their team.

I will update everyone on Saturday to confirm everything but in the meantime would like to thank everybody for their interest in my problems.

Thanks all,

Greg.

I feel your pain after losing 2 nice bikes last year. Yours is a thing I beauty mate, I hope you get it back and find out who came into your house and do them an injury.

BTW I've got most of my bike covered under my home insurance... It's with Santander and costs about £18 a month for £2500 of bike cover in or outside my flat. They paid out in a week too!!

Apparently I have gained a set of dice tyre valve caps which I think will make my bike look real cool?!?!!

Cheers all,

C'mon-how?! (unless to do so would compromise a slick way of doing thieves in!)

Good result, especially as you're just round the corner from me up near J25 - and you got some nice dust caps 🙂

Great news.
I think I've missed a bit, what did Edward do to help locate the bike?

This is great. Makes you feel all warm inside and restores a bit of faith in humanity...Great to think that a few guys linked by a few million fibre optic cables can pull off a result....Hope justice is done and we all get to bunny hop all over the scroats who did it.

Great story. Love to know how it was found out but can understand the reasons why you may not want to post it.

The frame was stripped but when recovered the rascals had superglued a couple of dice valve caps to the headtube. Bonkers.

Think the bike is complete with nothing stripped. Will find out this week.

Bike is in forensics. I will update here with a special picture of the dice caps I have acquired once I get the bike back.

It really does make you wonder what their thought process really is! I had my bike stolen a few years ago and i wanted to go on a rampage. With no-one to get back at, it was so damn frustrating. Really glad you will get it back (and hopefully the scroats will be squared away!)

I'm filling up, that was a wonderous read- the lows of having your bike teefed and then the highs of finding it again, its been an emotional rollercoaster for me so i've no idea how you must be feeling.
Congrats greg,
Big Up Ed to the power of infinty.

And the bike is safely back with me. Locked up with a chain in the house. New burglar alarm installed. CCTV recording the drive constantly.

Still covered in finger print dust but will be cleaned ready for wales Saturday.

Thanks everybody.

Greg.
