Is it home yet?
Aargh I've just read a 3 page thread and there is no ending! I really hope its the yeti in question!
What a cliffhanger,.... Fingers and toes crossed for ya!
oh ffs cmon 😆
and...........?
Still waiting
Hi all!
Thanks everybody for your interest.
Although I do not actually have the frame in hand yet I am hoping it is all just a waiting game now! The policeman I need to speak to is on holiday till Saturday so will update you then.
All I can say is Edward Gurhy is a hero and whilst this story is not completely over yet, I can only hope everyone has someone like Edward on their team.
I will update everyone on Saturday to confirm everything but in the meantime would like to thank everybody for their interest in my problems.
Thanks all,
Greg.
hope this ends with a silver lining as a fellow mtber and breaston dwelling citizen! if you need riding buddy give me a shout always up for a few miles
Hopefully this turns into a good news story.
Now go buy a big scary dog and lock your bike to it when your out.
I feel your pain after losing 2 nice bikes last year. Yours is a thing I beauty mate, I hope you get it back and find out who came into your house and do them an injury.
Paul
BTW I've got most of my bike covered under my home insurance... It's with Santander and costs about £18 a month for £2500 of bike cover in or outside my flat. They paid out in a week too!!
Thanks Paul.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww.
*sleeps 'til Saturday*
only the frame , . . . where's the rest of it? lol
And the answer is ..........
IT'S MINE!!!
Will get it back next week.
Thanks for all the interest & advice. It will definitely be insured from hereon in.
Apparently I have gained a set of dice tyre valve caps which I think will make my bike look real cool?!?!!
Cheers all,
Greg.
And a great big thank you to Edward Gurhy.
What a man. Cheers.
Applause.
Happy your reunited 🙂
This is a good thing
RESULT!!!! 😀
Happy Days!! How was it found?
Good end to the week 🙂
Like
Excellent news 🙂
Good stuff, what a result!!!
Result! Here's hoping that some thieving scrote has had the shit slapped out of them into the bargain. 😆
In reply to the thread title........."not any more!!"
C'mon-how?! (unless to do so would compromise a slick way of doing thieves in!)
GET IN!!!!! WELL DONE EDWARD!!!! HAPPY ABOUT THIS, YEE HAA!!!
Yes Edward = Hero!
And yes to come on we need details.
Good result, especially as you're just round the corner from me up near J25 - and you got some nice dust caps 🙂
Yup - story please, if possible! $2 for the dice valve caps, posted?
3 cheers for Edward.
Love happy endings.
High fives Ed.

Pies.
Great news.
I think I've missed a bit, what did Edward do to help locate the bike?
i think you should reward edward with a set of dice valve caps 😆
This is great. Makes you feel all warm inside and restores a bit of faith in humanity...Great to think that a few guys linked by a few million fibre optic cables can pull off a result....Hope justice is done and we all get to bunny hop all over the scroats who did it.
Great story. Love to know how it was found out but can understand the reasons why you may not want to post it.
Great work Ed. The kharma bank called, your account is full.
Bump
whooop!
Did they strip the frame then?
The frame was stripped but when recovered the rascals had superglued a couple of dice valve caps to the headtube. Bonkers.
maybe there call card? anyway keep an eye on fleagay etc for parts coming up
Yay! Bunny hop OVER? WELL, I'll try but ive always been crap at them. Apologies if I land on a scroat.
Think the bike is complete with nothing stripped. Will find out this week.
Bike is in forensics. I will update here with a special picture of the dice caps I have acquired once I get the bike back.
It really does make you wonder what their thought process really is! I had my bike stolen a few years ago and i wanted to go on a rampage. With no-one to get back at, it was so damn frustrating. Really glad you will get it back (and hopefully the scroats will be squared away!)
I'm filling up, that was a wonderous read- the lows of having your bike teefed and then the highs of finding it again, its been an emotional rollercoaster for me so i've no idea how you must be feeling.
Congrats greg,
Big Up Ed to the power of infinty.
Whoooop!
can you say how it was recovered?
glad it all turned out well for you and what an upgrade you have there 😀
Great stuff. well done.
Nice, love the new dice caps! Now thrash the "f" out of her, she'll thank you for it!
