Looking through some stuff in the loft.Found a Kona catalogue from 2000 .Score Out of Bounds hardtail with Sandvik Bi Oval Titanium tubing .Like a hardcore Hei Hei .I heard that it was going to cost too much to produce ?I reckon they were 4 or 5 years ahead of their time .What a damn shame .Wonder if they could bring it to life through Lynskey ?I reckon it would sell well .
I heard that it was going to cost too much to produce ?I
Then you go onto say;
Wonder if they could bring it to life through Lynskey ?I reckon it would sell well .
Is this because Lynskeys are becoming known to build cheap(er) frames for other companies ๐ฏ ๐
Would be nice though if Kona would revamp their style as it's wearing thin, what with their lineup all looking tired and ''same old''.
You could always write to kona suggesting that they could bring it from the drawing board and produce it no?
talking to one of the guys from Paligap a year or so ago .There were pics of the Hei Hei with what looked like Meccano for the Drive Side chainstay.He said the samples were absolute crap and they didn't want to put Kona,s name on them.Made in Russia apparently!!!!Remember a company called DNA ?They made frames using Ti off cuts joined together !!!!!!They came from Russia as well.
i don't think DNA were off cuts were they? i thought they were rolled TI with a welded seam though??
