Does it only apply to cycling goods, i have seen a new stereo for my van which is cheaper elsewhere until i remembered i am a member of BC so if thats the case it brings it in line roughly. Boom, so am i in luck or do i just order the stereo elsewhere and get Halfords to fit it.

It [i]used[/i] to apply to everything, but BC quietly changed it recently to only apply to cycling goods which was a bit sneaky. Now you’d better hope your branch hasn’t caught up with the change.

It's the other big cycling membership 10% Halfords discount thing that apparently is unique to cycling goods, British Cycling is everything.
BC is everything. Very occasionally the staff member doesn't know this, staying polite normal works.
Surely in any case you need a stereo in your van to listen to while driving your bike to a trail center? Seems cycling related to me.
My membership for BC is up for renewal and it does look like they have changed the wording to be cycle related goods only.

That's pretty vague. You could argue most of the sold product as cycling related one way or another.
If your a tradesman you can apply for a Halfords trade card quite easily.
That covers all motoring things spares parts etc. I would expect the car radio would be covered.
The tase discounts are pretty good always buy car batteries there with their trade discount no one else can match them.
OP, remember halfords will probably price match if your BC discount does not work.
My local store used to let me use it for anything but last few times they have said bike related only, which ties in with above posts.

Yep worked a treat, brought the price of the stereo, fascia and fitting to the online price elsewhere so its all good 😀
BC is definitely everything. I did a big tool shop just before Christmas, and there was no question about the discount.
