Why does my mum still send me Christmas money? I'm in my 40s!

Having said that, I'm holding the cheque and looking at my (very) entry-level Hardrock and wondering how to blow my cash. Starting the fund for something better isn't really an option at present...

Having bounced my lovely 80mm Suntour forks around Gisburn this morning, I'm wondering if a relatively cheap fork upgrade would offer me the best return on the dosh?

If that's so, I'm probably after about 100mm of travel, as it's mainly going to be XC with a few trail centres chucked in. Would need to work with v-brakes...

Any recommendations, or deals I might have missed?

Could go for second-hand from a trusted source, I guess. Don't think I could reach a new pair of Rebas.

The obvious candidate is Recon if I'm buying new, but was wondering if I'm missing a better alternative.

I use Recons and once they're setup properly they've been really really good.

A tad on the heavy side but then so am I :S
