The wife gets confused with all those gears so any excuse to tinker in the mancave means a new cheapy build with some old bits and 1x9.
Is it this simple -->
Remove big and small ring from triple, use short bolts for the middle, use a superstar XCR Chainguide?
Then show the wife how clever I am hopefully 🙂

My commuter has been 1x for a decade, just like that but no chain guide.
