After such a wet and miserable winter, I really needed this ๐Ÿ˜€
Why can't all mondays be this good?

Round about NH716270.

It's a wee road heading over from Strathdearn to Strathnairn (just south of Inverness). The view is looking north to Ben Wyvis and the Fannaichs.

I take it yours were taken in the Lakes - is that Derwent Water?

Yes, I live in Keswick, so the Borrowdale Bash is my local loop.
I need to do more riding in Scotland this year, bigger mountains ๐Ÿ˜€

OP, nice work. Very jealous, I've been in Keswick / Cockermouth all day and unable to get out and ride / walk.

Days like this make the wind and rain seem worth it!

Glad someone was able to enjoy it.

That's funny.... I also took Monday off and this was what happened to me:

[img] [/img]

I'm surprised the pic isn't blurry.... I was on the point of bonking as I'd cycled to the cafe in Airton to find it SHUT, massive blow as I had been hallucinating about food. So I decided the quickest way to certain food was going to be straight up the long climb and over the top to Settle. Luckily for once I'd got the wind right and it blew me all the way there, nice and fast in fact down the steep descent into Settle town centre where I got naked at The Naked Man cafe. Could have carried on to Malham but I couldn't be certain any cafes would be open on a Monday.

Love it. Where is the first photo exactly? I thiiiink the 2nd one is over the opposite side of the valley from the descent from watendlath so you are on the descent from Honister pass to Grange? Can't work out your first one though...

Cracking pics

@anus, you're right, second is on the way to Castle Crag.
I was pretty fast down there, after riding my hardtail all winter, the Pitch feels like a downhill bike (well to me anyway...).

First photo is looking south from Walla.

@Globalti - sounds like a fantastic ride, makes a change not to have to clean the grime off the road bike, eh?

Damn right; dry roads for a change, although the bike still needs washing down because there's mucky water running across the roads everywhere.
