So back when the nights were long, strong drink was taken and a Scottish Coast to Coast was planned and accommodation booked.

Route: Fort William - Fort Augustus - Kingussie - Braemar - Kirriemuir - Glenrothes (which is home to most of the five old farts who thought this was a good idea).

We leave on 13th May.

Just a tad concerned about snow in high places particularly the Corriearrick and also high water levels for the burn crossings up Glen Feshie.

Any info or advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

Ewan

It's been one of the driest winters on record.

Snow has been gradually melting over the past few weeks without any flooding.

You'll be fine.

I was checking Spey levels today in anticipation of a weekend canoe trip. You will be fine. I might not be...

Nah, Spey *always* goes - just start at Aviemore or even Boat of Garten.

I've done it twice before. Both times we had a full flush down it. First time, May Bank Holiday, 3 days starting at Kincraig. Second, 2 Days, starting at Advie, last weekend in March, I think 2015. That was a colder trip...
