On red 25 at swinley my lad suddenly looses all his air from the rear tyre. Found 6 pairs of holes, only had enough patches for 5 and no spare tube !
They are all over the tube, it happened on a berm. Never seen so many, wheel looks ok. Any ideas?

Pump the tyres up harder?

Likelihood is that one went and the rest were caused by running it flat (even for the short time bet we feeling it go and stopping)

Snakebites always meant tyre pressure too low didn't it? If it was in a berm where the tyres loaded then that would make some sense too.

I'm not an expert, but I'd say....your son is too awesome for his tyres!

Either go tubeless, or get a new, less awesome son.

Or run higher pressures (cheaper and easier option)

The first bite makes the tyre loose air, then you get the others before you can stop.
One hit can result in 4 holes.

Tubeless is a god send, but not bombproof. I'm now trying a Huck Norris tyre defender in the rear as well.

Go Tubeless, and when you do take some repair anchovies with you, spare tube is the absolute last resort now...

I've not had that many in one go before, been considering tubeless for a while now so reckon the time has come.

Thanks all.
