We're planning on a trip up this Saturday but don't know how much snow is still on the trails. Don't mind a bit but wouldn't want a wasted journey! Any local knowledge appreciated, cheers

Id say go for it, the usual wet bits east of Skiddaw house will be frozen, so the only real hazard will be patches of ice its a great route and is best when its dry or frozen up. There is a lot of snow higher up but in the valleys you should be ok. enjoy

Icy in places, was snowboarding up there last night. Some good deepish drifts running along wall lines. Rode back of skiddaw the other week in good snow, was a hoot.
