i fancy having a go at some kind of s/s event this year seeing as i no longer have any geared bikes and was wondering what events there are in the uk and in particular the south end of the country as i may be needing to give up the car soon.
any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Ss euro champs is in Belgium, which is only 2 hours from London on the eurostar.
I am riding there, should be about 6 days ride from Dorset via le havre.
Or organise your own ss event. All you need is bikes and beer.

Ss events are great ssec last year was the best event. And UK was good ill be at ssec, sswc and probly UK as well. I for one am really looking forward to the belgians bar 😀

riding there with Alex one speed punk, rob from bicycle world, and "Al Alf Alfie Fresco". Should be a good trip along the French coast. I imagine we may have a few beers along the way.
