Are TRP Hylex still the only option?
(for full hydraulics, not cable actuated)
My googling didn't turn up anything else
Pretty much, apart from maybe buying a set of SRAM and gutting the shifter bit out of them...
The Hylex are superb btw. I've had a set on a cx bike for 6 years or so now. Still my favourite hood ergonomics of all time.
Hylex are superb !!
Thanks all, I have nothing against the Hylex, would happily have a pair
Only interest in other options as I'm looking second hand (and on a budget) so it's good to have a few options
SRAM do SS Apex levers.
Hylex are great though.
Planet X have (or did) have some Rival left hand shifter/rear brake for £55. Can't find the right hand one on the website though.
I think you can gut the innards just to leave you with the brake levers. Alternatively, if you get a set of 2x11, you can adapt the left hand shifter to run a dropper (which is what I've just done)
If you don't mind having shifting gubbins that you're not gonna use, Tiagra 4700 are good and should be cheap secondhand.
